After retiring from 25 years in higher education and many years of sharing her decadent desserts and treats with family and friends, Jacki Sharpe, pursued her passion and became a pastry chef. At the urging of her son, Wesley, a self-taught baker, they teamed up to create Purple Glaze Donuts, etc. Opening in May 2015, they are successfully fulfilling their mission by becoming a “neighborhood” spot where locals and newcomers can stop by for donuts and a cup of coffee. Purple Glaze supports their local community through donations and fundraisers at the shop. They also partner with local businesses and proudly serve Asbury Roastery coffee and sell Holly Jolly Jams and From the Garden honey.

Using freshly, made donuts as their canvas, slightly crisp on the outside & fluffy on the inside, they create bold and distinctive flavor combinations. Inspired by their love of all things sinfully delicious and the dynamic Asbury Park community, their hand-crafted donuts will appeal to youngsters, oldsters, hipsters, and funsters alike.
